Every child deserves the best possible start in life. A child’s experience in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework that enables us to provide the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.

The overarching aim of the EYFS is to help young children achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution
and achieving economic well-being.
The curriculum includes the following:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Literacy
  • Maths
  • Physical Development
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design
  • Language Development

Development of language and solid communication skills are vital aspects of education in the early years teaching. We introduce the Spanish language in the Honeybee room at an age when children are
extremely receptive. To develop comprehension and imagination, we offer story telling from our well stocked library and encourage the children to communicate at ‘News Time’.

Physical Activity

To promote physical agility and co-ordination, KinderWorld has an indoor 'Playbarn’ incorporating a range of play equipment designed for adventure which is especially useful on rainy days!

KinderWorld Pets

We have an aquarium in the nursery, plus two friendly guinea pigs, Buzz and Woody, to help develop children's understanding of the need to care for animals.

Outdoor Play

All children can play in our adventure gardens. Large play areas with flower beds for children to have 'hands-on' experience planting, weeding and learning about growth. A beautiful ‘Sensory Garden’ with many different textures, colours, smells and a story corner. Large netted area for ball play. Climbing frames, wooden bridge, slides, bikes and wooden pirate ship all help to stimulate children’s involvement and imagination.
