SkyLarks, Kingfisher and Wise Owls Rooms - Age 3 - 5 years

For the final years at KinderWorld, children are able to build on the foundation laid in the Honeybee Room. The children are encouraged to become involved in more structured activities, such as pencil control, letter and number recognition, sequencing and conceptual skills.

We provide opportunities for your child to experience 'hands on' activities with guidance from fully trained staff.

Within the daily routine we have 'table time'‚ which can last from between 10 to 20 minutes depending on the child's interest and level of concentration. This is a period when we sit formally as a preliminary to what may be expected of the children at primary school.
Each child colours a picture appropriate to their level of ability which they take home. This
enables parents to display their interest and, thereby, assist in their child's progression.

Dr. Montessori believed in cultivating the child's own natural desire to learn, and this is carried through by allowing each child to experience the excitement of learning by their own choice and by helping him or her to perfect all the natural tools for learning, so that their ability will be at a maximum in future learning situations.
Regular assessment of each child will be maintained to record their development and facilitate a smooth transition to school.

Swimming and ballet lessons can also be arranged for the Honeybees, SkyLarks and Kingfishers.

* please note age ranges in rooms may change depending on circumstances
