Aims of The Nursery

The aim of KinderWorld is to assist every child in their care to realise their potential and achieve maximum progression, with learning as part of an enjoyable play environment. We facilitate the development of social and communication skills and encourage each child to become self motivated and confident.

To assist in achieving this aim, an individual record of each child's development is maintained, showing their abilities, progression and areas needing further staff assistance.

KinderWorld's approach to Child Education

KinderWorld adopts Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy that a child's early years are their 'preparation for life' and, as such our nursery education encompasses all aspects of your child's development. Based on scientific observations to discover a child's real needs, it is the foundation on which we build at KinderWorld.

The Montessori method guides a child's development so that each child is able to realise their potential. It is a method which takes into account:-

the innate ability of the young child to readily absorb knowledge and learn from the environment;

the need for each child to spend their time in purposeful activity;

that each child deserves full respect as an individual;

that the child's first six years are the most important and that their earliest learning experiences
colour their whole approach to learning through to adulthood;

that learning should be a rewarding and pleasant experience;

At KinderWorld we are constantly striving to improve the high standard of education that we offer. KinderWorld staff are committed to meeting the standards set by OFSTED. In order to maintain these high standards we participate in a national quality assurance scheme.


The Children Act

The Children Act came into effect in October 1991. It advocates a child centred approach to the care of our children. It emphasises the responsibilities we have as a society to ensure their education, their protection and their safety. KinderWorld adheres to this ideology and we have been very conscious of it when equipping our nursery.
By providing the recommended child-teacher ratio, we ensure that each KinderWorld child can enjoy the most appropriate attention. Similarly, our nursery has purpose built washrooms, special indoor areas designed for education, messy play and quiet times, plus secure outdoor facilities.
